다시 태어난 거창국제연극제, 세계 속으로 계속 나아갑니다. 제33회 거창국제연극제가 자연, 인간, 연극이 하나되는 세계적인 야외공연예술축제를 꿈꾸며, 꺼지지 않는 불꽃같은 열정으로 우리 거창의 너무나도 아름다운 산과 계곡 위에서 오는 7월 28일부터 8월 11일까지 15일간 축제의 장을 펼치게 되었습니다.
천혜의 자연환경인 수승대와 거창 일원에서 예년보다 한층 더 다양하고, 알찬 프로그램으로 ‘알고 보면 더 재밌는 상상’을 펼칠 거창국제연극제에 많은 관심과 성원을 부탁드립니다.
문화와 예술에 특히 큰 관심을 가지고 폭넓은 군정을 펼치고 있는 구인모 거창군수님과 이번 새롭게 거듭나는 축제의 장을 마련하기 위해 밤낮으로 애쓰신 거창군과 거창문화재단 관계자들과 자문위원님들 그리고, 그 누구보다 성공적인 행사를 위해 아낌없이 성원해주신 거창 군민 여러분들께 감사의 말을 전합니다.
이러한 성원과 열정으로 우리 거창국제연극제가 세계 속에 자리매김하기를 기원해 봅니다. 나아가, 훗날 세계 속 문화예술 거창을 상상해 봅니다.

Reborn the Geochang International Festival of Theatre, moves forward into the world. With the passion like a flame that never goes out, the 33rd Geochang International Festival of Theatre, while dreaming of the global outdoor theater festival where nature, humans, and plays become one, will be held for 15days from 28th of July till 11th of August on the beautiful Geochang's mountains and valleys.
I ask for your undivided attention and for your support for the Geochang International Festival of Theatre that unfolds 'funnier imagination when you see it after knowing it' through more varied and solid programs than last year. The local area and particular Suseungdae that’s been blessed by heaven with a beautiful natural environment.
I send gratitude to the governer of Geochang-gun Gu In Mo, who especially has big interest in culture and art and governs the city with broad politics, also consultants and staffs of Geochang-gun and Geochang culture foundation who put in the effort to prepare the stage of the festival newly reborn. Also to the residents of Geochang-gun who offer generous support for the festival.
I hope that our Geochang International Festival of Theatre establishes itself on the global stage with this supports and passion. Furthermore, I imagine culture and art in Geochang will be seen by the world.
